Across two phases of renovation at Seattle’s iconic fine dining destination, we collaborated with Suyama Peterson Deguchi to fabricate site-specific custom fixtures that align with the architectural rhythm and ambiance of the space.
The first fixture, completed in 2016, was a sleek 8-foot-long copper-plated steel installation with an overall height of 11 feet 1 inch. Suspended over the lower bar by copper-plated square brass down tubes, the piece integrates four rows of 2700K LED tape lighting, dimmable via Maxim transformers. Honeylite baffles soften the light output, with all elements engineered for on-site coordination and seamless integration into the newly remodeled dining space.
In 2018, we returned to create a perimeter fixture for the upper level bar. Measuring over six feet by four feet, this linear luminaire was constructed from hot-rolled steel flat bar with crisp bottom edges. It houses two rows—totaling 44 feet—of warm 2700K LED strip lighting, layered behind honeycomb baffles and acrylic diffusers. The fixture was designed for straightforward installation and maintenance, with thoughtful allowances for ceiling hardware and remote drivers provided by other vendors. We supported final installation with hands-on leveling, diffuser placement, and finishing touches.
Together, these custom elements underscore our commitment to precision craftsmanship and long-term creative partnerships: lighting that is both materially rich and functionally attuned to space and use.
